  1. Fill a bowl with a quart of warm water. Pour three-quarters of a cup of Epsom salt into warm water and stir until dissolved.
  2. Remove the plastic caps covering the golf cart battery cells. You can remove the caps carefully by pulling and twisting with your hands. Drain the old water from the open battery cells.
  3. Fill a syringe with the Epsom solution and empty the baster into one of the battery cells. Repeat syringe filling and emptying until all cells are filled with the new water mixture. Cover the cells when they are full.
  4. Charge the battery three times over the course of a week before reinstalling it in your golf car.
  5. Remove the plastic caps that cover the battery cells.
  6. Remove one-half to three-quarters of the liquid from each battery cell using the baster.
  7. fill the battery cells with battery acid. The battery acid will dilute the sulfur buildup inside the battery cells.
  8. Replace the battery cell caps. Make sure the lids are closed tightly.
  9. Charge the battery overnight after filling it with battery acid and then put it in your golf cart.
